This new line of Air Circuit Breakers evolved from a global platform (meeting IEC standards). It is designed for simplicity and manufactured in the European Union. The L version of this breaker is a line of three and four pole devices ranging from 400A to 4000A in two frame sizes with a fault interruption ratings of 50 and 65kA.

Extremely versatile

3WL air circuit breakers switch and protect motors, capacitors, generators, transformers, busbars, and cables. The modular design and uniform accessories make it possible to flexibly adapt the circuit breakers to different applications. Versions in accordance with UL 489 are available for international use.

Expandable at any time

The electronic trip unit of the air circuit breakers is available in different versions. Protection, measuring, and communications functions are easy to implement, even in existing installations. A rating plug that is fast and easy to replace, for example, makes it possible to adjust the rated current without the time-consuming process of exchanging the converter. Expandable locking devices or mechanisms prevent accidental switching.

Fully integrated

3WL air circuit breakers can be equipped with a communications module and integrated into higher-level energy management systems. Auxiliary, signaling, and position switches report condition and fault diagnostics to higher-level control systems, even remotely. The COM35 comminication module may be used for the communication protocols PROFINET IO and Modbus TCP and is compatible with all 3WL air circuit breakers. This makes it particularly suitable for retrofit and expansion of power distribution systems.

The SENTRON powerconfig mobile App is an application that makes it possible to record energy distribution data location-independently, so states and measures of an energy distribution can be monitored with minimal effort. Settings and measured values are conveniently documented and the available devices statuses and measured values are displayed in standardized views. Device data can be stored on a project-oriented basis, and all available parameters are clearly presented – including plausibility testing of the inputs. The design of the SENTRON powerconfig configuration software is so user-friendly that no programming knowledge is necessary.
